Vandana Luthra

Vandana Luthra is an Indian businesswoman, philanthropist, in 1989, she established VLCC as a cosmetic and toning treatment center. She eventually expanded her business to include hair treatments, full-body laser, grooming, and Dermat treatments.

Padma Shree was bestowed upon her by Indian President Pranab Mukherjee in April 2013. Vandana Luthra is also known for her philanthropist work through her NGO called “Khushii”, which provides free education to impoverished and physically challenged students.

Kiran Mazumdar

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, India’s richest self-made woman businesswoman, founded Biocon Limited – a pharmaceutical company in 1978. Hers was the first firm to receive FDA clearance as per Forbes. She has invested a large sum of money in developing a deep R&D-based biotech enterprise. In 2019, she was ranked as India’s 54th richest. 

Priya Paul

Priya Paul heads the Park Hotel and is one of the most influential entrepreneurs in India. In 2012 she was bestowed upon with the most prestigious Padma Shree Award by then President of India, Pratibha Singh Patil. After a humble beginning working for her father as a Marketing Manager, she had made a distinguished name for herself. 

Ritu Kumar

As one of the topmost names in the Fashion Designing industry, Ritu Kumar made her headway into the industry after she started her career in Kolkata. She started by making designer wedding gowns and evening gowns.

And after decades of struggle, she has quite literally established an empire that runs firms in numerous different cities, including France and New York. The government of India bestowed the Padma Shree to her in 2013. 

Suchi Mukherjee

Suchi Mukherjee founded Limeroad, digital clothes, and lifestyles products platform, in 2012. This organization is currently renowned as India’s most fashionable e-commerce platform for men and women. Recognized as one of the most successful ventures in India she has earned many accolades for her business model.

Aditi Gupta

Co-Founder of Menstrupedia, Aditi Gupta is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in India. She collaborated with her husband on a comic to educate and entertain girls about menstruation. They later launched a website called menstrupedia.com.

In 2014, Menstrupedia partnered with Whisper India for their school engagement. She published a comic book in 2014, which was a huge hit; the book has now been translated into Spanish and Nepali. 

Falguni Nayar

After spending a good 20 years of her life as an investment banker, Falguni Nayar started her own startup in the form of Nykaa. Since 2012, Nykaa has been one of the most popular brands providing online beauty and health items. 

Vani Kola

Vani Kola is the founder of Kalaari Capital and is a well-known venture capitalist. In 2012 with $150 million she started Kalaari Capital, but before coming to India in 2006 she had already launched two companies while in her tenure in the Silicon Valley for 22 years. 

Radhika Ghai

Co-Founder of Shopclues.com, Radhika Ghai has over 15 years of extensive marketing expertise in a variety of industries including fashion and lifestyle, advertising and public relations, and others. Her venture has grown to become India’s largest fully managed e-commerce company, with over 7 million visitors each month.
