The first step is to log onto the e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department. After logging in, you will be directed to a page where you will have to select the ‘Request for New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN Data’ option.

Once you have selected that option, you will be taken to a new page where you will have to fill out your personal details such as name, date of birth, father’s name, etc. Make sure that all these details are filled out correctly and accurately.

After filling out your personal details, you will have to select the option of ‘Application Type’. From the drop-down menu, select the ‘Duplicate’ option.

The next step is to mention your registered mobile number and email address. This is important because all future correspondence will be made through these channels only.

Once you have provided all these details, click on the ‘Submit’ button. You will then be asked to make a payment of Rs 107 (including taxes) through credit/debit card or net banking facilities. Once the payment has been made, your application for a duplicate PAN card will be processed further.

What is the process for getting a duplicate PAN card?

If you have lost your PAN card or it has been stolen, you can apply for a duplicate PAN card by following the steps below:

1. Download and fill out the PAN card application form from the Income Tax Department website.

2. Submit the completed form along with two passport size photographs to any of the TIN-FCs (Tax Information Network Facilitation Centers) or PAN application centers operated by NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited (NSDL e-Gov).

3. You will need to pay a processing fee of Rs. 93 (including GST) for the issuance of a duplicate PAN card. The fee can be paid via credit/debit card, demand draft, or net banking.

4. Once your application is processed, you will receive your duplicate PAN card within 15 days.

How long does it take to get a duplicate PAN card?

If you have lost your PAN card or it has been damaged, you can apply for a duplicate PAN card. The process is relatively simple and can be completed online.

It usually takes around 10-15 days to receive a duplicate PAN card. However, if you are in a hurry, you can opt for the expedited service which will issue your duplicate PAN card within 4-5 days.

What are the documents required for a duplicate PAN card?

If you have lost or misplaced your PAN card, you can apply for a duplicate PAN card by submitting the following documents to the Income Tax Department:
